The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:
Definitions
· “Eligible” refers to any individual qualified to participate in this Promotion by either opening a new retail credit card account during the Promotional Period or by using their existing retail credit card and meeting the requirements of the Minimum Transaction Value requirement during the Promotional Period.
· “Eligible Purchase/Transaction” refers to any retail, internet, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction (not including returns/credit or any fees and/or bank charges) that meets the Minimum Transaction Value in local or foreign currency.
· “Purchases” refers to any retail, internet, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction.
· “Eligible Credit Cards” refers to all retail Scotiabank Credit Cards.
· “Minimum Transaction Value” refers to the predetermined minimum transaction amount which is required to be met for each transaction performed during the Promotional Period using a Cardholder’s Eligible Credit Card in order for the transaction to be deemed an Eligible Purchase/Transaction for the purposes of this Promotion.
· “Cardholder” means the Primary Cardholder of an Eligible Scotiabank Credit Card.
· “Promotion” refers to this Promotion and not to any of the Bank’s other Promotions or Programs.
· “Promotional Period” refers to the period from February 25th, 2026 to April 24th, 2026 inclusive.
· “Digital Entry” means each entry the Cardholder will receive during this Promotion.
· "Good Standing" means that the account should not be overdue or overlimit by any amount.
· “Utility Bill Payment” refers to the payment of eligible utility services, such as electricity, water, telecommunications, cable or internet services, using an Eligible Credit Card via the Scotia Caribbean App or Scotia OnLine Banking.
· “International Purchase” means any retail purchase made with a foreign vendor (a foreign vendor is an entity located and operating outside of the country in which the card was issued).
· “Prize” refers to the item(s) listed below that a Scotiabank retail Credit Card Cardholder may win if he/she is selected as a winner in this Promotion.
· “Scotiabank” and “The Bank” means Bank of Nova Scotia Guyana.
This Promotion is open to legal residents of Guyana who are 21 years of age or older. These terms and conditions shall be governed by the applicable laws of Guyana.
I.- GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE PROMOTION.
1.1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA.
· Only Scotiabank retail Credit Cards are eligible for this Promotion.
· This Promotion is open to legal residents of Guyana, 21 years of age or older, who hold an eligible Scotiabank Credit Card, with the exception of employees of The Bank, its respective parent companies (The Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Nova Scotia Group) and subsidiaries; their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household as any of these employees. Employees of The Bank’s advertising and promotional agencies, as well as their immediate family members, relatives and/or those living in the same households are also not eligible to enter.
Eligibility is restricted to Clients opening a new retail Credit Card account during the Promotional Period as well as existing retail Credit Card Cardholders whose account/s are still active at the time of the draw, are in good standing and have not been blocked or frozen, or, their retail Credit Card has not been stolen or fraudulently obtained, mislaid, lost or written off, or delinquent during the Promotional Period or within the past twelve (12) months.
· Participating Cardholders acknowledge and accept that Eligible Transactions will not include amounts generated by cash advances, balance transfers, and/or any charge and/or financial expense that is made with charge to their retail Credit Card. Likewise, transactions that are identified by Cardholders as the product of fraud or unauthorized use of their retail Credit Card do not participate. Finally, the reversing or return of funds for duplicate consumption or returns of products and services will not be considered as Eligible Purchases/Transactions.
· All Eligible Purchases/Transactions will be considered toward the earning of digital entries. There is no limit to the number of entries a Cardholder may receive. All transactions in local or foreign currency are eligible.
If a Cardholder earns a Prize but ceases to be a client during the Promotional Period, or the Individual's Account(s) cease to be in good standing or he/she becomes an “immediate family member” as defined in Clause 1.1 above, then the Cardholder shall be considered ineligible to receive the Prize.
1.2. HOW TO PARTICIPATE / DRAW PRIZE:
· There is no limit to the number of entries a Cardholder may receive during the Promotional Period.
· This Promotion is a limited-time Promotion which will run from February 25th, 2026 to April 24th, 2026.
· If the winner declines to fulfill the conditions required to collect the Prize, their eligibility will be voided, and another winner will be drawn from the back-up winners in the order they were selected. All unaccepted prizes will be retained by the Bank.
· Contact will be attempted using the Cardholder’s telephone number as found in The Bank’s records. If the winner cannot be contacted by telephone within five (5) days of the draw date the Bank has the right to offer prize to a back-up winner in the order in which they were drawn.
· The draw for the Prize will be conducted on the dates outlined below, by the Scotiabank Regional Product, Finance and Marketing Units. Dates described below however are merely a reference and may vary depending on the case.
· The allotted number of winners will be randomly selected from an electronic customer database with qualifying entries using a randomizer. Four (4) entries will be drawn as back-up winners.
1.3 CRITERIA
During the Promotional Period Clients will earn entries as follows:
• Clients who open a new retail Scotiabank Credit Card during the Promotional Period will earn twenty (20) entries.
• Clients who use their retail Scotiabank Credit Card and meet or surpass the Minimum Transaction Value requirement of GYD $35,000 for every Eligible Purchase/Transaction will earn one (1) entry.
• Clients who use their retail Scotiabank Credit Card for any International Purchase of USD $100 or more will receive ten (10) entries.
• Clients who pay their utility bills using an Eligible Credit Card via the Scotia Caribbean App and/or OnLine Banking during the Promotional Period will receive an additional ten (10) entries.

For example, if a Cardholder performs three (3) local transactions using any of their retail Credit Cards: one for GYD $25,500 another for GYD $37,000 and another for GYD $41,000, this Cardholder will receive two (2) entries: one for the spend of GYD $25,500 and one for the spend of GYD $41,000.
II. PRIZES:
· Each entry generated will qualify the Cardholder to be entered to win one (1) prize. Note that a Cardholder can only win once in the “Scotiabank Experiences NAPA Valley - Credit Card Campaign”.
· There is one (1) “Travel Package” to be won over the period of the Promotion.
· Prize winner will be drawn no later than May 22nd, 2026.
· Date of travel will be from June 14th, 2026 to June 17th, 2026.
· Following the Prize draw, the winner will be notified via the contact details listed in The Bank’s records for the winning Cardholder. The winner has forty-eight (48) hours from the date and time of being notified that he/she has been selected as the winner to respond to the notification and claim his/her respective Prize. If the Prize is not claimed by the winner within this timeframe, another winner will be selected from the back-up winners in the order that they were drawn, and the previous winner will forgo all claims to his/her Prize.
· The “Travel Package” is available for use only by legal residents of Guyana who are 21 years of age or older. The selected guest/companion of the winner must also be 21 years of age or older, and a legal resident of Guyana.
· The prize is a “Travel Package” to NAPA Valley, California, United States of America.
· The “Travel Packages” are only redeemable for the following:
Prize packages include the following:
· Airline Tickets: Two (2) round trip economy class airfare tickets from city of origin Airport to the destination city NAPA County California, United States of America.
· Transportation: Private transportation for two (2) from the airport in County California, United States of America – Hotel – and return transportation to airport in NAPA County California, United States of America for two (2).
· Accommodation: 5-star accommodation in one (1) double occupancy room for 3 nights – 4 days with daily breakfast, lunch, dinner and light snacks included.
· Travel Insurance: Coverage provided for two (2) persons for a period of four (4) days in NAPA Valley, California, United States of America.
· *Activities: Welcome dinner, visit to wineries and vineyards, picnics, wine tasting, local specialties, olive oils and other regional products, guided tours and other activities organized by the tour organizers.
· Welcome kit: This includes one (1) welcome kit with exclusive Scotiabank branded promotional merchandise.
· Concierge: The Prize includes the presence of a specialized team in charge of comprehensive coordination and logistical assistance throughout the entire experience. This service includes amongst others, reception at the airport, assistance during check-in at the hotel, coordination of internal transfers accompaniment during scheduled activities, assistance at the hotel check-out and final transfer to the airport for the return flight.
· Assistance & Support Services: Assistance will be provided prior to the trip from 9am to 5pm for the management and coordination of operational aspects and personalized assistance will be available 24 hours day throughout the experience.
· Apart from the airport transfers mentioned above transportationwill only be provided for the activities included within the “Travel Package”. Any additional activities outside the scope of the Travel Package which the winner and/or their guest choose(s) to participate in, will be paid for by the winner and/or their guest, including the costs of any transportation to and from those activities.
The “Travel Package” cannot be redeemed or exchanged.
· This is a single-use Travel Package. Any unused portion of the Package is forfeited and is not redeemable for cash or other forms of credit.
· The prize is not transferable.
· Once the winner has shared the personal and travel data of their respective guest, no changes can be made.
· At the time of the draw, the winner and the winners’ guest/companion must each have passports which are valid for at least six (6) months beyond the travel dates and a valid United States visa. The winner and their respective guest must each submit proof of valid passport and visa no later than May 29th, 2026. If a winner and/or their guest does not have a passport which is valid for at least six (6) months beyond the travel dates and a valid United States visa, another winner will be selected from the back-up winners in the order that they were drawn and the initial winner’s guest will also be required to forego the Travel Package.
Take into account the following:
· It will be the sole responsibility of the winner and their guest to arrive from their residence(s) to the Airport.
· It will be the sole responsibility of the winner and their guest/companion to each have a passport which is valid for six (6) months beyond the travel dates and the necessary United States visa required for the trip which must be valid for the defined dates of the trip.
· One (1) Standard baggage up to 23kg, one (1) carry-on up to 10kg and one (1) personal item (such as a backpack, purse or wallet) per person are allowed on the airline.
The Prize does not include:
• The cost of obtaining a Passport or United States visa.
• Participation in this experience is exclusively limited to individuals aged 21 years and over at the time of travel. No exceptions.
• Any personal taxes that may arise from receiving the Prize will be the responsibility of the winner and their guest/companion.
• Long-distance phone calls, room service, laundry service, mini-bar items, loss of hotel property, payment for damage to hotel property, or any other expenses incurred at the hotel.
• Transportation during the winners’ and guests' free time outside of activities scheduled as part of the Travel Package.
• Personal expenses not related to the Travel Package (e.g. shopping, transportation to local sites in free time is not part of the tour, food expenses, apart from scheduled meals)
• Any other expenses that are not specified in the Travel Package.
• Changes to one-way or return air tickets and other expenses incurred for such changes by any of the two (2) persons enjoying the Prize.
• Translation services.
· If the person who is selected as the winner is not available to travel during this period, they will lose the right to the Prize and will not be able to make claim to the Bank for it. The respective winner’s guest will also be required to forego the Travel Package.
· Due to the foregoing, THE BANK may dispose of the Prize as it deems fit.
· THE BANK will not be responsible for any changes that occur in the aforementioned Prizes.
· Participating clients acknowledge that only the main Cardholders will be able to benefit from the Prize unless a Supplementary Cardholder is chosen by the winner as his/her guest.
III Draw Details
Guyana
The winner will be selected by an automated random draw, completed by Scotiabank’s Marketing, Finance and Products Team. One (1) winner will be selected for this draw. Four (4) entries will be entered as back-up winners.
Please note that the aforementioned activities are for illustrative purposes. The final itinerary will be communicated to the winner once he/she has accepted the Prize and has been contacted by the Agency. The activities may be similar depending on availability and coordination of activities.
In all matters relating to this Promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding in all respects.
