The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:                                                                                                                                                                         

·       “Cardholder” means the primary cardholder of an eligible Scotiabank retail credit card.

·       “Promotional Period” refers to the period from November 1^st to 30^th, 2026.

·       “Promotion” refers to this promotion and not any of Scotiabank’s other promotions or programs.

·       “Eligible” refers to any Cardholder that meets the spend requirement with Eligible Purchases/Transactions during the Promotional Period. If the Cardholder does not meet the spend requirement during the Promotional Period using an Eligible credit card in Good Standing, they will not be eligible to participate in this Promotion.

·       “Eligible Purchases/Transactions” means any retail, internet, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction completed for one travel purchase on American Airlines, Caribbean Airlines, Copa Airlines, JetBlue, United Airlines or British Airways (not including returns/credits or any fees and/or bank charges).

·       "Spend Goal” refers to the minimum predetermined amount, which must be met by making Eligible Purchases/ Transactions using their Eligible credit card.

·       “Good Standing” means the account should not be overlimit or past due any amount during the Promotion Period.

·       “Eligible Credit Cards” refers only to Scotiabank retail credit cards. Transactions made using Scotiabank Small Business or Corporate credit cards are excluded from this Promotion.

·       "Scotiabank" or “Bank” means Scotiabank Guyana Inc.

This Promotion is open to legal residents of Guyana who are 18 years of age or older. These terms and conditions shall also be governed by the applicable laws of Guyana.

Capitalised terms used but not defined in these Terms and Conditions shall have the meanings defined and set out in the Cardholder Agreement.

How to Participate:

Eligible Cardholders will earn a cashback reward defined in the table below if they spend USD $500 or more on a travel purchase with American Airlines, Caribbean Airlines, Copa Airlines, JetBlue, United Airlines or British Airways.  Cardholders are limited to only one cashback reward during the Promotion

The minimum spending requirement is inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT).

The Cashback reward earned will be credited to the Credit Card account for Eligible Cardholders no later than ninety (90) days from the end of the Promotional Period (November 30^th, 2026). The Cashback reward will be paid in addition to any other rewards earned through the regular use of the selected Scotiabank Credit Card.

Eligibility

·       This Promotion is open to Eligible Cardholders whose Eligible Credit Cards are in Good Standing, with the exception of employees of the Bank, its respective parent companies (The Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Nova Scotia Group), subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies; their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household as any of these employees.

Transactions from unauthorized Eligble Credit Card use or those made with lost, stolen, or fraudulent Scotiabank credit cards will be considered void in the matter of this Promotion. 

Official rules and regulations

·       This Promotion will run from November 1^st to 30^th, 2026 inclusive.

·       The Cashback reward is not transferable and is subject to change at the sole discretion of The Bank without any prior notice to you. The Cashback rewarded received will therefore be considered final. The Bank will not be responsible for changes to the Cashback reward applicable in this Promotion which result from circumstances outside of its control. Scotiabank will issue no representation or warranty in respect of the Cashback reward.

In all matters relating to this Promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding in all respects.

Scotiabank has the right to exclude any individual from this Promotion in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason. Scotiabank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the Terms and Conditions of this Promotion or change or withdraw this Promotion at any time without giving any reason. In the event of a dispute arising from this Promotion, the Bank’s decision is final.

These Terms and Conditions apply only to this Promotion and do not apply to any of the Bank’s other Promotions or programs or any other promotion or program in conjunction with the Bank and any other entity or brand.
