G-FASPay

The G-FASPAY system is a computer-based system owned, operated and managed by the Bank of Guyana which is available to Participants for the processing of instant direct credits, funds transfers and other banking or payment transactions as allowed within these rules.

G-FASPAY is real time processing, while the existing payment methods are not real time processing.

The platform can be used by all Scotiabank Guyana Inc. clients.

The GFAS Pay service carries a transaction fee  of GYD $100.00 for both incoming and outgoing transactions.

Starting is simple: log into the Scotia Caribbean App and follow the steps to complete a transfer to others. Select GFAS Pay and your transfer will be completed instantly.

Yes, as the standard guidelines for digital platform usage will also apply.

GFAS Pay can't be used for international payments. International payments can be done via the customary wire transfer process.

The transactions are processed in real time as such the funds are immediately available within the receiver’s account. Recovery of the funds will be subject to the availability of same within the receiver’s account.

Yes, GFAS Pay is also available to Small Business & Commercial clients.

The ceiling value for individual transactions is $200,000 GYD.

There are no cut off times for GFAS Pay. Transfers can be completed at any time of day, on weekends and on holidays.
