The following definitions apply to these Terms and Conditions:
- “Cardholder” means the Primary Cardholder of a Scotiabank Mastercard® credit card.
- “Promotional Period” refers to the period from July 28, 2025 to October 19, 2025.
- “Digital Entry” refers to each entry the cardholder will receive during this Promotion.
- “Promotion” refers to this promotion and not to any of the Bank’s other promotions or programs.
- “Eligible” refers to qualification to participate in this Promotion.
- “Eligible Purchase/Transaction” means any retail, internet, phone or mail order purchase or Point of Sale transaction (not including returns/credits or any fees and/or bank charges) that meets the minimum ticket Spend Goal.
- “Eligible Credit Cards” refers to all personal Scotiabank Mastercard® credit cards.
- "Minimum Ticket Spend” refers to every purchase of GY$21,000.00 or more which must be met by making eligible Purchases or performing Eligible Transactions using the Cardholder’s Scotiabank Mastercard® credit card.
- “Good Standing” refers to a credit card product that is active, the cardholder has not engaged in any prohibited activities and is fulfilling the terms and conditions of the agreements with Scotiabank.
- “International Purchase” is an eligible online purchase/transaction made to a merchant with an international domain address.
- “Prize” refers to the item(s) listed below that a credit card Cardholder may receive if they are selected as a winner in this Promotion.
- "Scotiabank" or “the Bank” means Scotiabank Guyana.
This Promotion is open to legal residents of Guyana, who are 18 years of age or older. These terms and conditions shall also be governed by the applicable laws of the named country Guyana.
Eligibility
· This Promotion is open to legal residents of Guyana aged 18 years of age or older, who hold an eligible Scotiabank Mastercard® credit card with the exception of employees of the Bank, its respective parent companies (The Bank of Nova Scotia and Bank of Nova Scotia Group) and subsidiaries; their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and/or those living in the same household as any of these employees. Employees of the Bank’s advertising and promotional agencies, as well as their immediate family members, relatives and/or those living in the same households are also not eligible to participate in the Promotion.
· Eligibility is restricted to selected credit card Cardholders that are still active at the time of the draw, are in Good Standing and have not been frozen or closed.
· All Eligible Purchases/Transactions will be considered toward the earning of entries. There is no limit on the number of entries a Cardholder may receive. All transactions in local and foreign currency are eligible.
· If a Cardholder earns a Prize but ceases to be a customer during the Promotional Period, or the Cardholder’s account ceases to be in good standing or becomes an “immediate family member” of an employee of the Bank or an employee of the Bank’s advertising/promotional agency, then the cardholder shall be considered ineligible to receive the Prize.
· Transactions from unauthorized card use or those made with lost, stolen, or fraudulent Scotiabank credit cards will be considered void in the matter of this promotion.
How to Participate/ Draw Prizes:
· During the Promotional Period, Mastercard credit card Cardholders will receive an initial email and reminder emails to their email address on the Bank’s record, which will contain details of the Promotion including their Minimum Ticket Spend goal of GY$21,000.00 or more, required to participate.

· Cardholders will receive one (1) entry to participate in the prize draw for each occasion they make Eligible Purchases of Minimum Ticket Spend Goal or more, during the Promotional Period.
· For each International Purchase and/or for each registration of participating credit card for recurrent payments of the Minimum Ticket Spend goal or more, clients will receive one (1) additional opportunity to participate.
o For example, if at the end of the Promotional Period, client has made one (1) purchase of GY$19,000.00, one (1) purchase of GY$25,000.00 and one (1) international purchase of GY$21,000.00, client will generate three (3) opportunities to participate for the “Travel Package”: One (1) opportunity for the purchase of GY$25,000.00 and two (2) opportunities for the international purchase of GY$21,000.00
· There is no limit on the number of entries a Cardholder may receive during the Promotional Period.
· This Promotion is a limited-time promotion which will run from July 28, 2025, to October 19, 2025.
· If the winner declines to fulfill these conditions to collect the Prize, their eligibility will be voided, and another winner will be drawn from the back-up winners in the order they were selected. All unaccepted prizes will be retained by the Bank.
· Contact will be attempted using the Cardholder’s phone number as found in The Bank’s records. If the winner cannot be contacted by telephone within five (5) days of the draw date the Bank has the right to offer prize to back up winner.
· The draw for the Prizes will be done in the dates outlined below, by the Scotiabank Regional Product Marketing Units. Dates described below are a reference and may vary depending on the case.
· The allotted number of winners will be randomly selected from an electronic customer database with qualifying entries using a randomizer. Four (4) entries per country will be drawn as back-up winners.
Prizes:
· Each entry generated will qualify the Cardholder to be entered to win one (1) prize. Note that a Cardholder can only win once in the Spend & Get Credit Campaign “Shop your way to Singapore with Scotiabank Mastercard®”.
· There’s only one (1) “Travel Package” to be won over the period of the Promotion.
· Prize winners will be drawn no later than November 19, 2025, and communicated to the winner within fifteen (15) business days after the end of the Promotional Period.
· Following the Prize draw, the winner will be notified via contact details for whom the email was addressed to. The winner has 48 hours from the time and date of the notification being sent to respond to and claim the Prize. If the Prize is not claimed by the winner within this time frame, the Prize will be selected from the back-up winners in the order that it was drawn, and any previous winners will forego all claims to the Prize.
· The “Travel Package” is available for use only by legal residents of Guyana who are 18 years of age or older. The selected guests/companion for the winners, must also 18 years of age or older, and legal residents of Guyana.
· The prize is a “Travel Package” to City of Singapore, Singapore.
· The “Travel Package” is only redeemable for the following:
o Round trip airfares from Georgetown, Guyana to City of Singapore, Singapore, for one (1) winner and one (1) guest, to travel before March 31, 2026.
o Transportation from airport – hotel - airport in City of Singapore, Singapore, for two (2)
o Accommodations in one (1) room for two (2) at a hotel at the destination, during the six (6) days and five (5) nights of the trip.
o Breakfast daily for two (2) at the hotel.
o 1 Standard baggage (23kg) per person.
o Excursions/activities for two (2), at the destination.
· Once the “Travel Package” is chosen it cannot be redeemed or exchanged.
· The “Travel Package” is only valid for travel before Mach 31, 2026.
· This is a single-use Travel Package. Any unused portion of the Package is forfeited and is not redeemable for cash or other forms of credit.
· The prize is not transferable.
· Once the winner has shared the data of the guest, no changes can be made.
· The winner and their guest are responsible for complying and/or meeting the needed requirements to access selected Nation or Territory. No Assistance with respect to Visa processing and application services or fees will be provided and should not be expected/considered as part of the prize.
Exclusions of the “Travel Package” or “Prize”: The cost and expenses need to be borne by the Winner:
· Any other incidental travel expenses not specifically mentioned above. Ground/air/rail transportation not specifically mentioned above (including transportation to and from the Winners' homes).
· Any costs associated with dispatch/ delivery of passports and/or travel visas.
· Connecting flights (including from home city to the departure gateway city).
· Sightseeing tours and other in-selected destination activities.
· Travel-related fees/surcharges (including, but not limited to, additional baggage, airport improvement fees, taxes, etc.).
· Long distance telephone calls, room service, laundry service, mini-bar items, loss of hotel property, payment for damage to hotel property, or any other expense incurred at the hotel.
· Transportation during guests' free time outside of scheduled activities.
· Excess baggage fees.
· Costs associated with obtaining necessary vaccinations.
· Items of personal nature / personal expenses.
· Additional meals.
· Room upgrades.
· Tips & gratuities.
· Please note: Any activity not specifically included in the “Travel Package” shall be considered as excluded unless otherwise decided by Scotiabank in it is sole discretion.
· Medical assistance/coverage.
· The winners must provide information in advance about their respective companions, who must comply with the terms and conditions.
· Scotiabank will not be responsible for any changes that occur in the Prizes.
· In the event of cancellation of the event, Scotiabank is released from all liability and will not apply for refunds or compensation in this regard. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash either.
The winners’ names may be published in the media. Winners must also agree to the use of their names, and/or the use of videos and photographs of them without compensation, in any forthcoming publicity by Scotiabank specific to this Promotion.
In all matters relating to this Promotion, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding in all respects.
To unsubscribe from receiving communications about, and/or to opt out of this Promotion, please call the Scotiabank Contact Centre by dialing the number on the back of your Scotiabank Mastercard credit card up to 15 days after receiving your invitation email.
Scotiabank has the right to exclude any individual from this Promotion in its absolute discretion without any obligation to provide notice or reason.
Scotiabank reserves the right in its absolute discretion to vary the terms and conditions of this Promotion or change or withdraw this Promotion at any time without giving any reason. In the event of a dispute arising from this Promotion, the Bank’s decision is final.
These terms and conditions apply only to this Promotion and do not apply to any of the Bank’s other promotions or programs or any other promotion or program in conjunction with the Bank and any other entity or brand.
